The Texas House of Representatives has just written a bill (HB 22) that would require sex offenders in the state to register the names they use on social networking sites like Facebook and MySpace, along with email addresses and the other information they are already required to give.

GamePolitics.com says that the bill is written in such broad language that player names used in online gaming platforms like Xbox Live and PlayStation Home could also be required.
