Although the relationship between the economy and crime has been hotly debated for decades, you’ll find that this article offers some helpful insights and offers some practical advice about the relationship. For example, the article points out that property crime (theft, burglary, etc.) is likely to increase in a bad economy in areas with a high number of male unskilled workers who have been laid off, but murder and rape are not affected by the economy at all.
