Sean Askay started mapping casualties of the Iraq War as a graduate student at UC Riverside, and continued his project after he was hired at Google Earth. Now you can see his map of Iraq War casualties. The map places person icons on the hometown of coalition soldiers killed in Iraq, and memorial icons over their place of death in Iraq. The map is viewable in Google Earth 5.0, and is a harrowing reminder of all those who have died in the service of our country.

Access the map here.
